Kuuy Nahwá’a (Tongva Guest Exchange)
We acknowledge that TGIF/F takes place on the occupied lands of the Tongva people.
Making kuuy nahwá’a (voluntary guest exchange) is a small way for you to acknowledge the history of this land and contribute to its healing, to support the ancestral hosts of this land, present day Tongva people, and to create a vibrant future. This is an opportunity to enter into restorative relationship with the local Native community.
TGIF/F will be making kuuy nahwá’a as an organisation and we invite you - if you are able - to consider a personal kuuy nahwá’a.
Every penny you give us will be passted directly to land back organisations operating on Tongva land, which may include but is not limited to Acjachemen Tongva Land Conservancy, Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa Conservancy and Gabrielino-Tongva Springs Foundation.
