THE CON SPACE
TGIF/F utilizes 10,000 square feet of meeting space, giving us the flexibility we need to hold a variety of simultaneous programming.
At the Golden Sails hotel, we have multiple spaces to create the TGIF/F experience. In addition to all of the con programming, we have different hangout spaces for you to make friends and find the conversations (or silence!) you’re seeking. No matter what your speed, there’s an option for you.
MARINA BALLROOM
Our main con space is in its own contained building on the hotel property. The largest area we’re using is the Marina Ballroom, which is a 3,300 square feet room in two sections. Here, we will hold our discussion panels and most events. This ballroom has its own set of bathrooms that will be gender neutral and just for us. This space is right next to the Con Suite.
CON SUITE
The social epicenter of our con, the Con Suite is in the Sails room, which has a view over the small marina outside the hotel and lots of natural light. It remains open during regular con hours. Drop by to scope out the great items up for grabs in our auction, decorate your badge, make a femslash ornament for our OTreeP, play board games, color some awesome coloring book pages, or just hang out and talk with your fellow attendees.
PCH CLUB
The hotel’s restaurant is now closed to the public and rented out for events. It’s situated in the same building as our other spaces, so we’ve snatched it up to be our eating space for the weekend. Grab a plate from the catered meals and find a spot in the large, open room to eat with friends. This is also where Club Femslash, Trivia, and Open Mic Night will take place!
THE QUIET ROOM
Need a little personal, introvert time but don’t want to spend it alone in your hotel room? The Quiet Room is just the place for you. Separate from the main programming spaces, this is a room for reading, writing, using your laptop, coloring, doing a puzzle, or scrolling through your phone without the pressure of holding conversation. We’ll provide some materials to help you unwind, as well as plenty of outlets so you can recharge both literally and metaphorically!
