THE CON SPACE
TGIF/F utilizes 7,000 square feet of meeting space, giving us the flexibility we need to hold a variety of simultaneous programming.
At the Crowne Plaza hotel, we have multiple spaces to create the TGIF/F experience. In addition to all of the con programming, we have different hangout spaces for you to make friends and find the conversations (or silence!) you’re seeking. No matter what your speed, there’s an option for you.
SAN PEDRO BALLROOM
Our main con space is in its own contained hallway. The largest area we’re using is the Marina Ballroom, which is a 3,300 square feet room in multiple sections. Here, we will hold our discussion panels and most events. This ballroom has its own set of bathrooms that will be gender neutral and just for us. This space is right next to the lobby.
CON SUITE
The social epicenter of our con, the Con Suite is where we have registration, vendor tables, and areas for socializing. Drop by to scope out the great items up for grabs in our auction, decorate your badge, make a femslash ornament for our OTreeP, play board games, do crafts, or just hang out and talk with your fellow attendees. This space will be the hallway outside the San Pedro, as well as a small section of the ballroom itself.
CABRILLO ROOM
This ballroom on the other side of the floor, near the hotel restaurant, is where our nighttime socializing will take place. It features an outdoor patio for fresh air. We will rent a bar for evening beverages and have events like Club Femslash, Trivia, and Sunday night karaoke here.
THE QUIET ROOM
Need a little personal, introvert time but don’t want to spend it alone in your hotel room? The Quiet Room is just the place for you. Separate from the main programming spaces, this is a room for reading, writing, using your laptop, coloring, doing a puzzle, or scrolling through your phone without the pressure of holding conversation. We’ll provide some materials to help you unwind, as well as plenty of outlets so you can recharge both literally and metaphorically!
