2+ Full Days
This is an online fan convention over a weekend. Timing is primarily designed for North American time zones, and we hope that our friends around the world will also be able to pop in. (As we grow, we hope to accommodate more time zones!)
We’ll open our Discord on Friday to kick off the party with socializing opportunities with new friends. Then, Saturday and Sunday, programming runs all day and into the evening. We’ll hold discussion panels and fun group events to address a wide range of interests and interaction styles. You can design your weekend experience, whether you’re popping in on work breaks or camped out online for the whole thing.

Attendee Designed
We want this virtual con to be exciting for you, our attendees, so we will build a schedule using your ideas. Our attendees nominate and vote on panel topics to create a con they want to attend. TGIF/F is built with you—the femslash fan—in mind, and we want you to be a part of shaping what happens there.
This provides a more intimate experience for making friends, building relationships, and taking part in conversations—not just listening to other people have them. The virtual con will be its own unique experience, not a carbon copy of the in-person con. We’re excited to expand into additional events that work best in an online format and try new things!

Community Focused
For many of us attending the con, this is where we feel safe to truly be ourselves. Con staff works hard to cultivate a space and con culture that welcomes and embraces all of our attendees, celebrating our diversity and individuality. By keeping the event small, we really get to know each other—and we want to know you!
TGIF/F is a special place, and we love having new folks join our community. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, you’re one of us from the moment you enter the space. We’re excited to get to know new folks who can join us for this online experience who maybe can’t attend the in-person con.
Panel Descriptions

We've all noticed the #CancelYourGays trend happening in the TV landscape over the last couple of years - too many queer/wlw shows are getting cancelled (many after just one season!). Join us to discuss our favorite short-lived shows and pairings, as well as the meta behind this trend.

Sometimes your fave doesn't have a great pair-up readily available within your fandom—and sometimes the idea of two characters from different fandoms meeting up sets your brain on fire. Who needs to cross fandom lines and make out? What awesome crossover pairings have you read or written? Which ones have no fanworks at all, but need to exist?

A source doesn't have to be explicitly sapphic to offer hidden femslash gems. Sometimes the most fascinating pairings can be found (or created) in unexpected places.

A sharing discussion of some of our favorite queers throughout history. The deepest dive of THEY WERE GAY?!? as voted on by people in the panel get a $25 gift card (Alex has offered to buy this for the panel). Bonus points for visual aids.

Season 3 will have ended once the con starts, so let's discuss the seasons thus far: the good, the gays, and the queer angst of it all. We can decide when the panel starts just how spoilery we want to get with the most recent season.

Join us to talk about how your favorite fandoms as a child pinged your gaydar and the joy of indulging in nostalgia through femslash as an adult!

Workshop Descriptions

A time when folks can bring any projects they're currently working on and we can chat about ways to incorporate fandom into our crafting. Knitting, embroidery, Funko Pop hacking, book nooks, collage, diy trading cards, even fandom foods-- if you can make it, you can make it fandom.

Do you want to flex your flash fiction muscles and practice/learn how to write drabbles (fics exactly 100 words long)? We'll go over the do's and don'ts of drabble-writing and some general best-practices for not frustrating yourself as you tell a complete story in exactly 100 words. (NOT 101. Not 99. Not "under 1000." 100 exactly.)

How to get started running fandom events like themed weeks or big bangs, presented by the organizer of the Femslash Big Bang.

This Week In Fandom History and The Fan Girl Film Club will present a workshop about how to get into fannish podcasting! It could include both the planning/idea generation side and the technical side, as well as anything else you bring questions about when it comes to the intersection of podcasting and fandom. There should be more fannish podcasts that aren't cis men yelling about Star Wars!!!
